Session I: July 18-22 or Session II: July 25-29.

The application form can be downloaded at:

Teachers selected for the Uberoi Foundation Fellowship can choose to get either 3-graduate credits or a $500 stipend for the five-day session. Selected applicants will also be provided with curriculum materials and an honorary certificate from the Uberoi Foundation Fellowship. Local housing will be made available to teachers traveling long distances to attend the program.

The Uberoi Foundation- 2011 Fellowships:

Dharmic traditions originated in the Indian subcontinent over several millennia. Currently practiced by over a billion people throughout the world, Dharmic traditions represent more than religious studies, but form the cultural foundation, or ‘way of life’ for people practicing Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, and Sikhism.

Coverage of Dharmic traditions in American schools is limited primarily because of the lack of appropriate teaching materials and teacher knowledge and training. The Uberoi Foundation has provided the Center for Indic Studies at UMass Dartmouth with funding for 25-30 Uberoi Foundation Fellowships for public school teachers.
