History Day in NH 2012

It’s still not too late to get involved with NHD in New Hampshire! Email us if you would like to be a judge, teacher, or volunteer for this year’s competition. The competition is on March 31st!

If you are planning on having a school competition or are interested in judging at a local level, Patrick, John, and I are helping to organize some judges to facilitate judging at some local high schools and middle schools. Please be in touch if you would like support with that. We already have a few scheduled for this month.

Registration for students to register their projects for the State Competition at Plymouth State University is going to open shortly after February 15th. Please plan all school competitions to be completed by March 9th, at which point registration will close. We will be using an electronic registration this year and will be in touch with important information in the coming weeks before registration opens.

Paper and Website submissions must be submitted before the March 9th deadline. We will be accepting both electronically. Papers must be submitted in either Word or PDF forms. On March 9th, Websites will be locked down until the day after the State Competition.

HISTORY LOVERS and NHD Teachers: Are you interested in performing New Hampshire history specific research either independently or in your classroom? Check out this neat website on White Mountain history. http://whitemountainhistory.org/Home_Page.php

Alumni Outreach

HISTORY DAY CAN REALLY USE YOUR HELP! This is our 10th Anniversary State Competition! We are really looking to reach out to our alumni and find out where they are now! If you have some NHD alumni emails, we would greatly appreciate it if you would forward this brief survey link onto them. Their feedback would really help improve the program. http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/WEB22ED65WYWNA
